About the foundation
We are a newly established not for profit based in Launceston dedicated to improving the welfare of underserved communities. Through strategic partnerships with local organisations and government agencies, Shelter on Wheels aims to address systemic issues such as poverty and lack of access to emergency accomodation.

Let's get some vans into the hands of humans in need.
Shelter on Wheels Centre Development
The SoW Centre requires funding to develop its centre for creating a safe space for volunteers and tradespersons to work on our vans.
Bathroom and Laundry Facilities
At the Shelter on Wheel's workshop we want to provide a space where those who are homeless have a safe space to use a bathroom and laundry space as required. We would like to pay for a hairdresser to come in once a week and offer free haircuts to the homeless.

If you're local and you have skills such as business administration, counselling, hairdressing, mechanical trades, carpentry we'd love to talk to you about volunteering with us or working at a reduced cost basis.
